The Concept of Travel and Tourism from Islamic Perspective.


  • Travel and tourism are integral to Islamic politic, economic, legal and social policies.
  • Based on Islam overview of God, man and nature, tourism is part of the ADDIN ( way of life ) and travel (PENGHIJRAHAN) is fundamental to Islam (Quran Chapter 29: verse 20).
  • Life is journey in the way of God thus tourism in Islam stressed the sacred goal of submission to God's ways.


The Motivation of Travelling from Islamic Perspective.

• Spreading Islam  – The role played by Muslim missionaries in spreading Islam throughout the world causes them to travel from one destination to another destination.
• Develop economic country – Travel and tourism is to promote and sell the products of Islamic countries.
• Recognizing the customs and civilizations of other nations – Muslims do traveling to see their own culture and customs of people around the world.

The Importance of Providing Excellent Service to Guests.


  • Higher visitor numbers and greater customer diversity.
  • Increased sales / government revenue.
  • Survival in terms of competition.
  • Repeat business and customer loyalty.
